Asturias Airport is located in Santiago del Monte, about 47 km from Oviedo, 40 km from Gijón and 15 km from Aviles. It was opened in 1968 to replace the Morgal airport, which is located in an area with lots of fog.

You can reach the airport by car via the A-81 via the access of the Cantabrian motorway and the national road N-643. From the airport you can take a taxi or bus to Avilés, Gijón and Oviedo.
