VALENCIA
The city of Valencia is considered the third most populated city in Spain, after Madrid and Barcelona.
If you come to visit Valencia you can enjoy its celebrations and traditions, such as the Fallas, considered of international tourist interest. You will appreciate the brilliance of its giant ninots (huge monuments or statues made of wood and cardboard), and enjoy the fireworks show known worldwide as "mascletás". The Fallas take place in the week of March 19th.
You definately can not leave this beautiful city without visiting the Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Exhibition Bridge, or the Mercado de Colón (European Cultural Heritage), where you can enjoy a different concert every Sunday. And if you like football, you can see a match of the Valencian football club in the Mestalla Stadium, also known as Camp de Mestalla, considered by many people the second best stadium in Europe.
If you want to try the cuisine of the region, a good option is to go the natural park of La Albufera, just 10 km away from the city and where you can find some of the most iconic restaurants of traditional Valencian cuisine and try their specialties in rice dishes, especially paella and other dishes.
The best way to visit the city of Valencia is renting a car, as it offers a wide range of prices suitable for all budgets.
